Use Variable Data to Improve Direct Mail Results

Variable data can be used to personalize your printed communications and make them relevant to each individual customer. Here‛s how it works:

Step One:

Gather data from your client database, email newsletter mailing list, or a purchase mailing list. The data should be saved as an Excel spreadsheet or comma separated (csv) file. 

Step Two:

Decide how you want to personalize your mailing piece. There are lots of options! 

  • Personalize using names, addresses, bar codes, or job titles. 
  • Organize mailing by phone numbers, personalized body copy, or even photos linked to data.
  • Variable data output lets you customize charts and graphs specific to each record in the database.
